Humans have an insatiable need for advancement. Our need for better is almost a basic need for most people. We crave the latest, the new, the more efficient, the faster processor, the better design, the better application, we crave the BEST. It is this need that has accelerated our progress and made the world we live in today, the most advanced in the history of mankind. As advanced as the Egyptians, the Romans or the Greeks were. They don't even come close to what we are now. But the question does arise. Will it ever end? When does the referee blow the whistle and end the game? When does our tower of Babylon, COLLAPSE?

The story is told of the tower of Babylon. In Genesis 11.1-9. It begins by saying how the people of the world had one language. What a time to be alive then, right? Everyone speaks the same language. Would the world be a better place? There goes my innate human desire for better, I can't switch it off. But anyway, the tower as the Bible describes it was built by people who wanted to 'make a name for themselves, and not be scattered all over the earth'. Then as they were making it, the Lord came down and mixed up all their languages. They no longer spoke one, they spoke many. They were split. The Lord's reasoning was interesting because He split man into different factions because He feared we would soon begin to do as we want. The tower of Babylon was just the beginning, that we would as the Lord saw it. Be more.

That's very interesting. Fast forward from that moment and go through all the civilizations throughout history, and you will see the same theme. They become too big, too advanced. Not only can they fail and fall, but it becomes inevitable, it becomes when not if.

Are we at that moment? Are we close to the end of this beautiful amazing ride? How far do we have to go before everything hits the fan, and God or the gods or the Universe, become scared of what we might be? Is our constant pursuit of better, an innate desire to be like the Gods we so much admire? Do we yarn to be equals with the Gods? In our minds do we think and feel that our being equals, will free us from mortality? Or even better yet. Free us from being inferior. Being less. "We are the playthings of the Gods". "We are only here for the entertainment of the Gods".

Does that bother us? Do we want to be free of this servitude relationship, and that is what we constantly chase with our constant pursuit of better? To be like God, as we see it. Would free us from them?

But our search for better, which leads to the search for more power, is limited as we have seen in religious books and in history books. Our yearning to be like God. Will it end with us being cast out of this garden we call the modern world? Will the tower eventually collapse and, will it be because of our insistence on better? The very thing that has elevated us to such advanced levels, will it be our downfall? Will it betray us, as it has betrayed all other previous civilizations?

If it does, ours will be legendary. It will be epic.

And so, in the face of the AI revolution which, I have so much to say about. Are we digging our own graves? At some point, things will fall, and things will end, they must. That is the nature of the world. Everything starts, and everything ends. When does our time come to an end, at what point does our tower of Babylon reach so high, that the Lord will come down Himself, and scatter us again into primitiveness?

When our tower collapses. What will be the reason?

It's also quite interesting that human beings being one, is a problem. A problem because when we are together, we are so strong, so powerful that even God must bring us down. Surely then that means that we are capable of reaching levels that would make even the Lords of Lord shutter a little bit. Otherwise, why have the need to scatter us? Are we not just pure mortals? Why does God need to put an end to our tower? Is it because we can be like them?

We can be like Gods.

Interesting. I use the Bible because it has very timeless and deep stories. And they almost aren't stories but revelations, they seem real because of the main theme and archetype of each story. It is timeless and it carries on in every human being and every civilization.

Are we on the brink of civilization collapsing? Of course, it's not going to happen today or this year, but is it close? They say when a man is close to dying the roses smell even sweeter, and the air is more filling.

We shall see.

But if everything as we know must come to an end. Then we had an amazing ride, I have lived like most Kings have never. I can have food delivered to me in an instant, I can have access to any piece of information I want to progress myself, I can communicate with people on different continents at a moment's notice, the healthcare is better, I'm alive and well, having had so much abundance that my body carries excess. I have lived a King's greatest life and of course, I desire more, but if and when this tower of Babylon collapses as it has before.

I shall have lived well.

Any critiques, corrections and or additions are much welcomed.

God's Speed.
